3 Juicing Recipes That Helped My High Blood And Cholesterol

Alright folks, as promised from my last post that I will share some of my favorite juicing recipes.  I will give you my top 3 favorite juicing recipes.  They are my favorite for several reasons.  They are easy to make, delicious, and more importantly these juice significantly helped my high blood pressure and cholesterol.

In order to be able to make these nutritious juice recipes, you will definitely need a juicer machine.  I prefer that you use a masticating juicer to extract the juice mainly because a slow juicer gives the highest yield of juice.  However, other juicing machines will also work.  If you currently do not have a juicer, I would advise you to research the best juicers for your needs.  Go to http://juicermarket.com since the person running that site gives an honest and thorough review of the different juicing extractors available on the market.

Most of you that are reading this post are interested in juicing because of the health benefits that it provides.  No doubt about it, juicing is not a fad.  It’s a big part of why I lost a lot of weight. Let’s face it, there’s not many people that can eat 3 to 5 fruits a day along with several vegetables.  Juicing makes it easy to digest all this every single day.  This is not really a diet, since you are not starving yourself.  We all know diets don’t last.

Since I’ve started juicing, I’ve noticed I have a lot more energy.  Before I would crash after a big meal.  Research studies have also shown that drinking juice can help with better sleep.  I can tell you I’ve had a deeper sleep since I’ve started juicing.

Another benefit of juicing is it is easy.  I’m all about simplicity.  Just turn on your juicing machine and put in your fruits and vegetables.  No need to buy any special ingredients and complicated cooking recipes.  My family and friends know that I am not the best cook so if I can manage to master juicing, so can you.

Essentially all fruits and vegetables are beneficial but there are several that are particularly have the right nutrients to fight high blood pressure and cholesterol.  Here are my fruit and vegetable suggestions:

  • Any green leafy vegetables
  • Lemon
  • Grapefruit
  • Any berries
  • Beetroots
  • Kiwifruits
  • Ginger
  • Turmeric

Out all of them, I particularly like blueberries, kiwifruit, and beetroots.  Blueberries are not only delicious but they contain anthocyanins that help lower blood pressure.  Kiwifruit also contains the right nutrients for healthy blood cells.  Beetroots is also a favorite of mine.  Study research has shown that beetroots can instantly lower blood pressure.

Without further ado, here are my top 3 juicing recipes.

  1. Healthy Beetroot Juice Recipe – this recipe has a healthy amount of beetroot.
    • 1 beetroot
    • 1 apple
    • 2 carrots

  2. Berry Delicious Recipe – this recipe contains a high amount of high antioxidants.
    • 1/2 cup of raspberries
    • 1/2 cup of blueberries

    • 30 leaves of peppermint
    • 1 cup of kefir

Meteor Showers Tonight!

So I’m going to watch the meteor showers tonight! You can’t get a better view than in the mountains and away from the city lights.  No need for binoculars or telescopes.

I’m going to sit in my comfy chair outside, with a blanket (kinda chilly tonight) and of course a glass of my nutritious juice made from various fruits and vegetables (I will be posting this juicing recipe soon so you can enjoy this easy recipe).

If you plan on watching the meteor shower tonight.  Make sure to give it 20 to 30 minutes to get your eyes adjusted to the darkness. I will also be setting up my camera on a tripod with long exposures.  I can’t wait to see the results of my pictures!

Stay tuned for my favorite juicing recipe.  I know my friends have been waiting for it.  It’s coming!

Take A Look At This Adirondack Moose!

This is my first post and I’m going to give you what nature gives me when living in the outdoor.  Wow! I just took a picture of a rare Adirondack Moose!

This rare animal can stand over 6 feet tall and weigh up to half a ton.  Talk about a big mammal. Unfortunately, the population of this type of moose has only began to repopulate.  Back in the 1800’s, hunting on this animal was unregulated.  Although they are massive in size, they are herbivores!  They only eat plants.  That takes me to another topic, being vegetarian.

To give you a little background about myself, I used to weigh over 315 pounds.  I am now down to 215 largely due to being a vegetarian.  Like many people, I used to be a meat lover.  I hated eating vegetables.  Thanks to juicing fruits and vegetables it helped me transition to being a vegetarian.  Being vegetarian is also easier these days with all the veggie food that taste like meat.  Also I’m more active now (you kinda have to when living in the mountains).  I walk a total of about 3 miles a day including walking around the property doing all sorts of things.

That’s all for now!
